FORTITUDE VALLEY’S FIRST INDEPENDENT CRAFT BEER BREWERY
At Soapbox Beer we're raising our megaphone for real beer. Liquid gold goodness, full of fresh, locally handcrafted flavour to tickle your taste buds and invigorate your voice box.
We’re an independent, award-winning craft beer brewery, bar and kitchen located in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane’s dedicated entertainment precinct. Set in an old, converted agriculture store rich in history we set out to strip back the 90s interior to restore and reuse timber, unearth concrete floors and find the perfect industrial fittings to compliment the surroundings.
Our BrewBar overlooks our working craft beer brewery, where we handcraft a range of core, batch and seasonal beers available at our venue and select craft beer retailers and bars across the South-East Queensland and beyond.
With 9 beer taps, a dedicated craft cider tap, local Australian produced wines and craft spirits, and a delicious gastro-pub style menu, there is something for everyone to experience at Soapbox Beer. Our menu includes a tasty selection of traditional classics, modern Australian share plates and snacks, catering for most dietary requirements including vegetarian and vegan friendly options.
With a relaxing vibe, full kitchen and bar, we host trivia every Wednesday night and regular line-up of events so check out our socials. And if you're looking for a funky function, we can help! Our various spaces offers a range of options accommodating groups, big or small, perfect for all beer-flavoured events.

AWARD WINNING INDIE CRAFT BEER
The art of brewing beer is a rewarding journey so it's extra special to be recognised for this labour of love along the way.
Each year Soapbox enter some of our beers in the Royal Queensland Beer Competition for judging. The process is rigorous and beers need to meet certain criteria for the beer category. It's often this criteria that is used to brew beer for everyday production, so it's a great way to gain feedback and we're always proud to pickup some gold, silver and bronze medals along the way. In February 2026, we managed to go one step further and land a Champion Trophy Stout-Porter for our Extra Extra Stout!
And our West Coast IPA, Double Talk, recently won the Queensland IPA Cup!
OUR BREWERY
We designed and built our brewery from the ground up with control, consistency and creativity in mind.
Our system includes a steam heated 2500L two vessel brew house, 6 x 4000L fermentation tanks and 1 x 4000L bright beer tank. We brew our test and some our special release batches on our 200L pilot system which is a mini-me version of our main brew house.
